Sorry to say but you have been had. The only reason they randomly call you is to get you to pay them some money and also to get your credit card details. There was never anything wrong with your PC, all ps's have these errors on them. For a bit of fun play them at their own game and just waist their time. Make some excuses that your PC is taking a long time to boot, just keep em hanging or tell em to pi** off. Both seem to work quite well.

onlineteckguys.com is not a fake but I had issue's with a person called tazeen iqbal who is in India pretending to be them.
As-well I managed to fool the person to contact me though Hotmail with a number witch im to paranoid to give out freely at this moment of time, but I spoke to the real onlineteckguys and my bank reporting their Hotmail, phone-number's and their address so hopefully this should not happen to anyone from this site any-more.

But one thing really shocks me is that whenever I have called them for any issues or any help, they have promptly given the services without charging a single penny.. That has made me believe in them... Hence now i can say that this is not a scam... Could be a company from India but not a scam for sure.... These days all over the world maximum telemarketing calls are happening from India... Not all are Scams..... Patric are you from India as well, or were you working with these guys as you know them in detail.... Is this out of some competition or rivalry with them....

Don't fall for this.. SCAM idiots.
This is unbelievable how many people these fake 'companies' ring to try and hack into your computer. I've been told by from what i think by the accent an Indian man that I have many viruses on the pc and he will be able to fix the problems by going on a website where I can 'share my desktop with any other computer'. It's pathetic and I told him that I will not fall for this kind of thing and first of all what is my name if they see that my computer has so many viruses? he couldn't answer that.. his name was 'Shane' and because I said I am not interested he said okay I love you bye.?! A few weeks after that I've been told by the same fake company that I've paid for them to fix the virus .. I knew they're telling me lies and said that first of all I'm 17 and he doesn't even know who he is talking to and I am not stupid to fall for this kind of buls*** .. I've been told once again 'I love you', if I have a boyfriend if I'm married, if he can ring everyday and if we can have phone sex!?

Just had then call.....
As above, I have just had a call from Charles Dawson (indian chap) explaining he needed me to log on my pc.... to sort error issues. What a load of garbage. This is a scam. I know that my online security is up to date and my computer has no errors. Asked him for contact number and company name and was told online tech guys with the number above. He said he was calling on behalf of "Windows". Ha. Never give any of your details away over the phone, get details off them then hit the internet for information. If they are genuine they won't have a problem with you calling back after checking.

They're still at it!
Had a call yesterday and today from obviously foreign person who said he was Nathan Stevens. Story was that Winow's updates weren't downloading and some rubbish about how they can't keep me connected to Windows unless they let me fix the problem. Phone number they gave was 0208 144 1094. Glad I googled it.

still at it to this day
I was drawn to these guys and i foolishly let them control my laptop, fortunately at the point they said it will cost 80 pounds for a lifetime computer protection when they redirected me to thier onlinetechguys website. He then pressed me for details in which i thought was ridiculous and then said "i have to ask my dad about this" made him wait about 20mins on the phone haha then said i said no thanks. At the beginning of the call he said my computer would be completely unoperable and break down in the next 20mins, probably been on the phone over 30mins by then? bunch of idiot scumbags.

Scammers - Do not trust
Got a call from them claiming there was a virus destroying my computer. Money came into talks when they said they can fix all of it, incredibly hesitant with anything and so told them I'd call back. Searched them and found rip off reports on the company and scanned my computer with multiple software I already had which came up with no threats. DO NOT TRUST COMPANY OR WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THE COMPANY, TRUST KNOWN SOFTWARE THAT IS KNOWN TO PREVENT COMPUTER PROBLEMS.

"Paul" is the latest name being used and still using the 'Online Tech Guys' crap. Stated was from Microsoft and that they had error reports for my pc (Impossible - I have unregistered version o). Decided to play along with them, and introduced myself as the senior fraud investigator for the metropolitan police. He refused to provide any details but insisted I navigate to a website to allow third party control.....

Long and short - They spent money on a call to me, I had a right laugh.... Who got scammed? o)

I have just received a call from an Indian "gentleman",I didn't quite get his name but he said there were error issues with windows on my computer and asked me to log on and he would show me the issues. He said that my computer would close down if these issues were not sorted.
I said I was not prepared to allow him access to my computer without me doing some checks with my computer advisor. He tried again to get me to go to my computer and I refused and asked him for a telephone number and his name.He gave me the number 0208 1441094 and said his name, but then suggested I speak to David Parker.
There seems to be a lot of Parkers in the above thread.
Refreshing to see that I did the right thing.

'This is quite dangerous'
I got the same cold call etc. (Indian lady - Jenny Brown). I didn't pay them any money but they did manage to remotely connect to my computer, much to my shame. After the call, I contacted Microsoft who ran a check on my computer. This bunch of sh**s had managed to put about 40 viruses on my computer and now had access to all my file history. The only thing I could do was to allow Microsoft to delete my package and install a fresh one securing the computer. (Cost £150.00)
If you have allowed them to remotely log on using one of the scam websites they will have accessed your data. Police are helpless as they are doing this from India!!!

onlinetechguys.co.uk is an active scam (September)
These criminals have phoned me 4 times in the past week. They sound (dangerously) more convincing than most phone scammers. And they even have a big website. But it's a fake company.

Windows security centre
Had a call from an Indian guy said he was from windows security centre and I have errors on my PC.
Now this is a scam he gave me a name John Caffrey and this phone number 0208 1441094. When I dialed 1471 the number was withheld.
This guy wants to take control of your PC and get you to purchase useless security software. Beware of this scammer.

DO NOT TRUST THIS NUMBER!!!!
My poor mum received a phone call from these lowlife pieces of scum today. After getting herself extremely upset about the 'virus' she didn't follow any of their prompts and said that she needed to phone me to help her. He gave his name MARTIN BROWN and the phone number 0208 1441094 and said she needed to call back ASAP so he can sort this for her. I confirmed it was a scam. Luckily she didn't give any personal details to this scumbag. My husband phoned the number and gave them a mouthful. This has been reported to trading standards and the police. But they are completely powerless!!!! Only advice they gave us was to keep my mum up to date of the latest scams!!!!
