Scammer.... Beware
“If you have recently offered a vehicle or goods for sale on the Internet you could be contacted by this number. Its a scammer called Dirk Englhard or Elizabeth Henderson who give addresses in Irvine (Scotland) or Aberdeen (Scotland). They will offer you over the odds for your sale item and send you a bankers draft in payment. The draft will include extra money to pay the "Carrier" who will collect your goods. What they want you to do is pay the draft into your bank, it will clear initially as its a draft, you will then be asked to pay the extra money they send to the carrier who will be picking up your goods. After you send them the money, you will find out that the draft is a forgery and your bank will demand you return ALL their money. Hey presto you just lost the cash you sent to the "carrier".

dangibson@virginmedia.com
Trying to sell car on gumtree. Text Message came in from "daniel". No number attached asking me to contact him on email at dangibson@virginmedia.com this morning. Further emails have ensued, resulting in an offer for the vehicle without a viewing and wanting address and bank details.......alarm bells ringing etc. Time to do some digging around which brought me here. Thanks to those that have posted. He says - agree that the car will only be picked after payment has cleared to your account. All paperwork will be done by my local pickup agent. Just to let you know I will be adding my pickup agent fees in the payment through PayPal in order to reduce the total cost on this transaction. Kindly get back to me as soon as you receive payment confirmation email from PayPal regarding this transaction. Thanks.

247 spares
Made a call on this number to order a part from a supplier that 247 e- mailed me. Thought I was calling a normal mobile number. Imagine my surprise when I saw on my phone bill that it cost £18.50 for the privalage. If I don't receive the part or have any problems I won't be phoning them back I will just take the loss on the item as it would probably be a cheaper option. I feel totally conned by this. They should be forced by law to state that you are calling a premium number.

Re traffic accident
I asked who was calling and the 'lady' said that someone at this telephone number (she quoted mine) regarding a claim for traffic accident. I told her she must have wrong number and put phone down. ( Dialled 1471 and this was the number that was shown) I am registered with TPS so do not like getting these unwanted calls.

This phone number is a scam
07055191079 was a man offering a fresian gelding for sale and could be shipped that week for a £400 deposit. Then the shipping company wanted a "refundable" insurance payment from us. That's when we knew we had been scammed. We were too Naive and have lost £400, but it could have been a further £350.

247 Spares 07034 713 946
All 07034 pre-fix numbers are charged at 38 p per minute. Bt classifies this call band under "K" rating which is therefore a premium rated number.

When making calls always check the prefix code.

To prevent excessive call charges, use a separate Email address that you should only use when dealing with unknown companies (helps to prevent spam).
