TPS does not cover them
They are not selling you anything which is why they can ignore TPS.
What they are doing is taking your details to sell to other companies. You and your data is their product. Simply ask to be removed from their database and then refuse to give them your info which they will make money from.
I hate everyone that calls me!

No message No answer
At least 2 calls per day, never leaves a message and silent when picked up. Cannot call them as it is blocked. After 4 weeks, eventually turned out to be RCI a time share company in London.

You're kidding, right?
I received a call from "Kevin", who claimed to be working for Sorbet Solutions, AND the UK Electricity Board.

After a long chat, I worked out that about 90% of the call was "kevin" trying to get my bank card number, bank account number, and in the end, when I offered to pay by cheque, he starting asking arbitrary questions like "What is your date of birth".

He told me that I could save £200 a year with a little device that I plug in to a wall socket, and somehow it prolongs the lifetime of ALL appliances plugged in in the house, and it has something to do with "fluctuations", "back-up electricity", "overheating", and many more words that have NOTHING to do with what a device like this would need to do.
I spoke to a friend of mine who just happens to be a qualified, professional electrician, and told him about the device. He laughed all the way through the explanation.

This is a scam, they're trying to get your money fraudulently, and you should do what I did, and call the police.

My mum received this yesterday and as I am away at the moment when I phoned her she mentioned that a letter had come which was handwritten. She opened it laughed and told me it was addressed to me and was about an anti wrinkle cream. I told her that I did not know anything about it and we left it that I would look at it when I am back. Unfortunately being a lovely mum she decided to ring the number that afternoon to get it for me!! She told me today what she had done and said if she had known it was going to cost £10 postage she would not have bothered!! Normally there is no way she would pay postage of that amount without querying it! Anyway I have rang the bank and am unable to stop the £10 payment as it has already gone through. I was informed by the bank that with all the details of the card that they had there was nothing to stop them taking more money so I have had to stop and cancel her bank card to prevent this.

Most entertaining easter-egg from tv show Utopia. Harmless, free and with that no problems in calling it.

Now if it is calling you then I would class that as odd and well, just odd.

Phone scam
Word to the wise make sure you ring your mobile supplier and ask them to barr these calls from being able to come through to your mobile or your child's. I have stupidly just checked my sons mobile bill and what should cost me £13 a month has been costing at best £100 a month and at worst £206.62 a month and my investigations have revealed that it is down to these numbers. I know I am stupid and should have checked sooner. be warned!'

Extended Warranty Sales: Domestic and General
They just called again. Although they claim to be from [Insert Manufacturer's Name], they are actually calling from Domestic and General. They want to sell you an extended warranty for the goods you have just purchased. A particularly sneaky tactic is when they ask you for a mark out of 10 for the delivery service, in a cynical attempt to convince you that they are calling from the company that made/delivered your product.

Its a phishing scam pretending to be electric
They call and leave a recorded message that has a ref number on it (first clue to it being phishing scam as why would they have a recorded message with individual ref numbers on? They don't - its the same one given to everyone to try to make it look real.

Suspecting it was a scam I called the real SWALEC who confirmed that no letters has been sent me and I have not been called my them and that the number I was told to ring is NOT one of theirs. I was advised not to answer or phone the number.
